Grizzlies Guide to Nashville: East Nashville


We’ve been telling y’all about Nashville Hot Chicken from the start of the Bingham bidding process & Pepperfire in East Nashville is my favorite in a long list of tongue-blistering peppered poultry. They’re one of the few hot chicken joints that serve their fowl as tenders (in addition to on-the-bone), which is useful when one wants to avoid getting napalm on one’s fingers. Hot chicken is traditionally served on top of a couple of slices of white bread but if ya want something a bit more “more”, Pepperfire will serve yours over a deep-fried “grilled” pepperjack cheese sandwich or over waffles with cinnamon apples on top.
